Volunteer Service Awards

Right on time for Global Volunteer Month, we’re highlighting the dedication of our Volunteer Service Awardees. This group of over 770 volunteers contributed more than 103,700 project hours in 2025.

That is equal to roughly 4,288 days, or almost 12 years’ worth of service completed in just one year! No matter how many hours of service you’ve achieved, we appreciate each and every one of you for your commitment to volunteerism.

New York Cares Volunteer Service Award

Beginning in 2026, New York Cares is proud to introduce the New York Cares Volunteer Service Awards—honoring dedicated volunteers who give 100 or more hours of service in a year. Award recipients will receive a certificate and commemorative pin in recognition of their impact.

The New York Cares Volunteer Service Awards follows a model similar to the Presidential Volunteer Service Award program, offering three levels of recognition based on total hours served within the calendar year.
